The IPM Awards 2020 represents our annual celebration of the incredible and ground-breaking work that takes place across the promotional marketing industry and beyond. The Awards exist to shine a light on genuinely creative activations and to reward effective, insightful and exceptional campaign delivery.
2020 will mark the 50th anniversary of the IPM Awards. Previously referred to as the Institute of Sales Promotion, the IPM Awards have been in existence since 1970 and have, since its inception, represented the greatest elements of expertise in the UK promotional industry – and we are hugely proud to continue that heritage today.
To honour this special occasion, we have launched an exclusive Award to recognise the industry’s greatest campaigns over the past 20 years. ‘Twenty Over 20’ will highlight the irrepressible talent that has been amongst us and reward the most exceptional work of the previous two decades. This unique award, a once in a lifetime initiative, requires a campaign to be considered outstanding and possess the ability to withstand the test of time over the past 20 years.
Drawn from the best of the best, the IPM’s Grand Prix Winners from 1990s to 2019, these iconic campaigns will be judged by a selection of the most established members of the IPM, those who have had a presence within the membership for the last 20 years.
The twenty campaigns will be highlighted through social media and across the IPM’s other channels in the lead up to the Awards. Presented with a special award on the night the winning campaign will be given the opportunity to relive the success of their initial win, with the IPM supporting with post-award amplification.
Andrew Rae, Managing Director of The IPM, explains: “This unique and once in a lifetime opportunity symbolises the undeniable and consistent talent that our IPM members are famous for. The chance to revisit and celebrate these incredible campaigns is something we should all be extremely proud of as an industry and very excited for.”
