The IPM has taken the decision to extend their membership year for a period of 6 months at no additional cost, taking effect until 31st August 2021. The hugely positive news regarding membership is a welcome shot in the arm and has already drawn praise from the industry.
In recognition of the fact, the last 12 months have been an extraordinarily difficult time for all our members and while we are encouraged at the prospect of returning to some kind of normality in the near future, we appreciate the pressures our members are under may continue for several months ahead.
John Sylvester, current Chairman of the IPM explains, ‘We are here to support and elevate our members in whatever ways we can. We are a not-for-profit industry body owned by our members but we feel we can offer to relieve a small amount of the financial pressure to accompany the green shoots of revival we are currently seeing.’
He adds, ‘Activity, planning and potential activations are clearly more abundant from where we are involved. And with the government’s recent announcement of Liverpool being part of programme paving the way for big crowds to attend events this summer, the future is certainly looking brighter for the events and experiential community.’
The IPM is continuing to work on major initiatives such as the Communities programme and there will be more announcements regarding further exciting initiatives to be released in the short term.
