Danish furniture retailer BoConcept has teamed up with VisitDenmark to offer UK consumers the chance to win a five day holiday for two to Denmark, staying in the world’s smallest hotel, Central Hotel in the stylish Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, which has only one room.
VisitDenmark’s primary goal for the campaign is to create awareness and entice travellers to Copenhagen, by focusing on just one part of the city and appealing to people who want immerse themselves in a district. The Danish tourist board says Vesterbro is trendy and raw, but also atmospheric and intimate. A film showing a day in the life of Vesterbro is running on the competition website, which can be found at boconcept.visitdenmark.co.uk/.
Anja Hartung Sfyrla, Manager of Business Development says the aim of the film is to “strengthen the narrative of Denmark as a destination for city tourists in an authentic way, zooming in on the local environment, which is what many tourists want to experience when they travel. We are therefore pleased to be able to team up with BoConcept yet again, in a campaign based in the city and BoConcept’s aim of creating Urban Danish Design.”
BoConcept said in a statement: “We love the urban city life and the cool area of Vesterbro, Copenhagen. Visiting the smallest hotel in the world is a personal and unique experience. The same experience that we would like to share with our customers when they visit our stores.”
BoConcept creates urban design furniture and home accessories based on Danish design traditions which are distributed via a franchise store network. BoConcept was founded in 1952 and today has more than 260 stores in 64 countries, including 13 in the UK.
VisitDenmark is the Official Tourism Organization of Denmark, partnering with the Danish tourism industry and other export sectors in order to increase global awareness, attract more leisure and business travellers to the destination, and increase growth, turnover and employment in Denmark.
