Travel retail specialist Blackjack Promotions has expanded its UK operations to London Luton Airport, giving it coverage of 16 airports in this country.
Blackjack provides specialist customer-facing sales teams and brand ambassadors across a number of travel retail categories, including beauty, liquor, luxury and confectionary. In addition to its UK operations, it also provides staff at three airports in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the UAE and on-board ferries.
Blackjack staff have already been in action at Luton, supporting last week’s launch by LS Travel Retail UK & Ireland of a range of new brands into its flagship Aelia store.
Blackjack Managing Director Sally Alington said: “This new venture has been secured on the back of the success we’ve achieved in driving up service levels and sales in airports across the UK and the trusted relationships we have built with many travel retail brands here in the UK and the UAE.”
Alington added that the expansion to Luton Airport would not have been possible without the acquisition of Attitude Events and its subsequent integration with Blackjack last December, expanding Blackjack’s staffing pool and its management capabilities.
She commented: “This exciting new opportunity would not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of our team, and in particular Nikki Fisher and Alicia Brown, who joined us when we acquired Attitude Events in December. It is great to have so much experience on the team and we are looking forward to building some long and successful partnerships at Luton Airport.”
